Welcome to a New Year, We started the New Year in with Richie Sample’s Birthday Party Celebration on the Sana Vibes Saturday night segment. A great way to start the New Year, wicked music and great vibes. Wishing you many happy returns Richie from the entire RWMN Family.On the 7th on DJ Val Anthony hosted his Mid week shuffle segment with his guest Raymond The Steppa. I can only say the Raymond and Val had us stepping. Raymond presented a great night of music. Thank you Val Anthony. On the 10th on on DJ Val Anthony’s Vintage Korner segment he hosted the Mighty Kingsley “ The FLAME” and Delroy Hunt another segment that was just filled with wonderful music and great vibes. These guys again delivered some great selections and great entertainment.
The Reggae World Music Family was devastated by the earthquake on the 12th that hit Haiti. Concerns and prayers went out to our Zion Babies Group and their families and to the people of Haiti. DJ Greg had a moment of Silence on his Musical Saga segment for the people of Haiti. Thank you DJ Greg. We want to use this opportunity also, to say a big “Thank You” to all of you who have contributed to the Zion Babies fund. The monies collected in the amount of $120.00 through January 25th have been sent to them. We are urging you all not to give up on the fund. The group needs our help during these trying times. As most of you know the group lost one of the backup singers.
We would like to thank Reggaegolfer and his Wife Sharon for hosting Charlie K’s Quiet Vibes from his studio in the Palm Coast area on the 15th Reggaegolfer not only hosted the Show but he was the guest Personality who brought us some great music. Members from the RWMN family that were present were, DJ Sista, Proper Lady, The Gent, Turo and Garth. “Thanks You Charlie K and Reggaegolfer!!!
One the 16th we welcomed Hugh to the RWMN Family. Thanks to DJ Greg who hosted his debut from his studios in Ocala, Florida. Hugh’s debut to date has been the biggest welcome party. Hugh – “Big Bad Hugh” had the house full. Way to go Hugh, Thank you DJ Greg & Rowmein.
On the 16th while this was not an official RWMN function; RWMN members represented the network at the fundraiser for Gladstone Gladdy” Parker. RWMN’s Own Charlie K was a presenter at the function and several RWMN members were also present, DV, Citi, Garth, Jackie, Delroy Hunt, Vblayne, DJ Sista, Beamin02, Barbrose, Denton, to name a few.
On the weekend of the 22-24th we had the pleasure of meeting the Mighty Kingsley & seeing Phillip West Palm Beach. The Mighty Kingsley and Phillip met Kenny P and spent a few quality hours with us, photos of his visit are on the site. That weekend we also celebrated Winston’ s and Reggaegolfer’s Birthday. We want to thank everyone for making this weekend a special weekend for two very special people.
On the 24th on the Paul Hutton’s Collectors Korner, he hosted “JahWise” Robert Campbell brother of Cornel Campbell. Jahwise brought the house down with his wide selection and magnetic smile.
On the 25th we launched our new chat room, while there were still some glitches the response has been 100% positive. I wanted to take the time to let everyone know a few little things about the new chat room. Everyone has to re-register because this is a brand new chat room and the old information Is not saved on this database yet. When posting icons and you want to use more than one, just hold down the shift key and the window will stay open until you have finished selecting the icons.
In addition, this chat room has the ability to add a photo image or an avatar image to your profile. To do that you must have your image converted to an URL link. For those of you who are not familiar with that process, please feel free to send the image you want to use to us vial email at keallie@aol.com and we will convert it and send you back the URL link for your use. If you don’t understand where the URL link needs to be placed, you can call us at (954) 889-7470 and we will gladly walk you through the process.
There is also the ability to type in different color. The key to typing in color is to make sure that you use both codes in order to complete your color selection. While there is this option, the color selection is very limited, black, red, green, orange, yellow white, pink. The proper way to use the color code is to do it as follows:
[color=red] next you put the word or words you want in red here then you must put [/color] at the end of those words, without the additional end string the color will not work. So here is an example of how a string would look. [color=red]Blessings[/color] will give you
Blessings in red. You can change text color:
Another feature is that you are able to you bold and italic words. To use bold words you would use the following combination of [b] your word here and then /[b] after the word. To use Italics you would use [i] your word here and then /[i] after the word.
Please come in and get familiar with the new room and after you have call a friend or family member who you know has not been in yet and help walk them through the process. Make sure they are not missing out on the new look. We welcome suggestions and ideas from everyone.
On the 28th we had the pleasure of meeting the Richie Sample and his Wife Tanya who spent a few hours with us as we shared some laughs.
Paul Hutton and John Public visited with us on the 29th and we had a great time. On the 30th on Paul Hutton’s Collectors Korner, we heard from Ranchie and “SoulGary”. Soul Gary dropped some sweet biscuits’ for his segment as he danced behind the turntables. Wicked show Gary!! Wicked Set!!
Our theme for this year is we are a Network that Sees the Vision… A Network that Feels the vision… A Network that Acts from the Vision!!!
